Volksclub Bendigo Ice Cream Run
A great joint cruise betwween 3 of Victoria's VW clubs cruising to Echuca for a picnic lunch and ice cream with members from the VolksClub Bendigo and the Ballarat Club.
Reminder
Each VWCV member is a volunteer, carrying out club duties in their own time. Please bear this in mind before calling or emailing committee members.
Tech Training
If you would like to learn more about how your car works, and perhaps even be able to get it going again after a breakdown then have a think about attending a customised car maintenance course offered to the VW Club by Kangan Institute.
The course can be based on either 8, 2 hour sessions (from 6.00 – 8.00pm one evening a week), or 16 hours spread over two or three Saturdays. The venue would be the Coburg or Richmond campus dependant on numbers. 
The cost of the course is $3,605.80 catering for 12-14 students. If we have 14 students the cost per student would be $258. If the course is held on Saturdays there will be an extra charge to cover weekend rates

The topics covered will be:
Session 1 Fault diagnosis – why does an engine stop or run badly - spark or fuel problems
Session 2 / 3 Cleaning, replacing, and adjusting spark plugs
Battery care
Distributor
Cleaning, replacing, and adjusting points
Valve adjustment
Engine timing
Session 4 Clutch adjustment
Fan belt replacement and adjustment
Session 5 Carburettor maintenance and adjustment
Session 6 Replacing and adjusting brakes
Session 7 Replacing and servicing wheel bearings
Session 8 Replacing and servicing CV joints
The training will be classroom style and we can provide a VW for use in any practical sessions. The course training notes will be a Haynes Manual, covering the vehicle of your choice.
