The 2018 National Bug-In is traditionally held over the Easter weekend, with each state staking it in turn. This year it is Victoria's turn and the weekend is being co-hosted by the Volkswagen Club of Victoria Inc and the Ballarat Volkswagens Club Inc.
The Bug-in is being held in and around the historic and picturesque Victorian regional City of Ballarat. The event commences on the afternoon of Good Friday 30 March 2018 and concludes on Monday 2 April 2018 at around lunchtime.
During those four days there will be a range of activities that will provide all participants an opportunity to mix with members from local and interstate VW clubs, participate in a welcome event, a choice of a cruise to Bendigo to be involved in the Bendigo VW Club’s Easter Car Show, a local Goldfields Cruise or a tour of local wineries, car show and sausage sizzle around Lake Wendouree. There will be a dinner with professional floor show entertainment and finally a pancake breakfast held at the home of two local VW identities (An itinerary is included below).
If you intend to participate in what will be a great VW Bug-In event it is very important that you make accommodation bookings as soon as possible and submit your registration form. The registration fee for the event, or any part is $20 per head. Registration forms and updates are available via the links in the 'Event Update' section above..
Participants will each receive a bug-in pin, sticker and lanyard as part of the registration pack available at the registration function.
An outline of the proposed events is also listed below with more details to be made available as soon as possible.
As this event is held over Easter any accommodation vacancies in and around Ballarat will be filling fast.
